Procrastination Fixation

Procrastination Fixation

Directed by Adam Plowman

On the night her college essay is due, high school junior Angelina makes excuse after excuse to avoid the blinking cursor on her screen, reorganizing her desk, staging a shower concert, and making a ridiculously complicated sandwich. After a candid phone call with her friend Jacob, in which he confides he can’t even afford college, Angelina begins to recognize the privilege behind her procrastination.

Director Statement

Procrastination Fixation comes from our experiences as young adults navigating life’s big changes. We wanted to make people laugh at something both ridiculous and familiar, the ways we put off what matters most. As a team we believe comedy is most meaningful when it invites reflection. This short film is rooted in our own life experiences while remaining relatable, portraying the dance of procrastination that many young adults know, one that when confronted, can open new perspectives and reveal unexpected insights about ourselves and the world around us.
