This film explores an implicit relationship between a father and a son through their argument about a bag that won’t open during packing for the son’s departure to college.

Director Statement

“Like Father Like Son” is my most personal project is mainly because my real relationship with my father is very complicated, we both are stubborn, not good at communicating, but we both love each other very much. So I want to demonstrate this kind of love between father and son through this film, also as a gift for my father.
This film is also definitely one of my favorite works because I personally designed every detail in the film, and this story also means a lot to me. The actors in this film is one of my school teachers and my friend, they have a great relationship too. The tears in the film is real, because this film also represents a good bye to my friend Jack, who is leaving the state next year.
I’d say this is special in many ways, but what makes it the most special is really because of the raw emotions we put into these 4 minutes.
