DEMESNE

DEMESNE

Directed by Juaquin Sebastian Rosales

A detective who bears a symbiotic relationship with an elder vampyre comes upon a crime scene of a murdered family only to find out there are more bloodsuckers in the world than he thought, who are much less amicable. Together, they decide to investigate these murders and find the monster.

Director Statement

Noir is a genre I’ve always felt myself being pulled towards. Lauded with flawed characters, bad endings, and a potential for greatly artistic content, I wanted to meld together two concepts we see everywhere, but never together: a cold-hearted detective cracking a life-changing case and vampires. This is but a proof-of-concept film, although the visual and narrative style still stand as a short-lived passion project I loved making.
