Get to know the Director Noah Berlow

Award Winning Director/Producer/Editor Noah Berlow straddles two worlds—the world of entertainment and the world of social impact films that educate, raise consciousness and help bring about cultural change.

As founder of Immortal Cinema International, LLC, Noah Berlow has over 400 credits directing, producing and editing feature length narratives and documentaries which have appeared on Netflix, BBC, VH1’s Palladia TV, BET, Telemundo and Univision.
The body of Berlow’s work was recognized by the Ithaca College Alumni Association when he was the first person from the Park School of Communications since David Muir of ABC News to be selected to receive the Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

Although Berlow was honored to be asked to edit the Latino Inaugural to celebrate Joe Biden’s Inauguration on Telemundo and Univision, he is most proud of films he’s made that educate, raise consciousness and help bring about social change. ICI’s short films “if not now” and “if homeless” helped the Illumination Foundation to raise over $1.5million dollars each year to build emergency shelters and support homeless families. ICI’s short documentary film What if…won the Dan Eldon Activist Award and Best Documentary Award at the My Hero International Film Festival in Laguna Beach, CA. Since then, the film has received awards in over two dozen film festivals including Best Documentary Short at the Golden State Film Festival where Berlow walked the red carpet as director at the world famous TCL Chinese Theatre with the formerly homeless couple featured in the film.

Berlow completed a feature length bio of a well know 6-time Grammy nominated rock artist. In 2020, Berlow, teamed up with Sully Erna and the members of BMG’s hard rock group GODSMACK along with over 400 middle and high school students from all over New England to create a truly memorable music video of GODSMACK’s hit single UNFORGETTABLE to showcase the tremendous power of music and the need to keep music programs funded in public schools. Berlow’s direction helped to propel UNFORGETTABLE to #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart for five weeks in a row. Berlow also edited the video of Erna’s song BULLETPROOF which also achieved #1 and a Platinum Record status from the Record Industry Association of America (RIAA), a rare occurrence in the age of digital music.

In another outstanding success, working with Amnesty International, HIVOS, and the Guardian Newspaper, Berlow produced and edited a documentary feature on female genital mutilation (FMG) in Kurdistan entitled Our World: Dropping the Knife – Kurdistan. The film was picked up by BBC Arabic TV and broadcast to an estimated audience of 30 million viewers. The film successfully helped to outlaw FGM in Kurdistan.

Despite being known as a go-to filmmaker for music videos and behind the scenes VH1 and Palladia TV documentaries featuring musicians like Sully Erna, Alter Bridge and Slash and directing established celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence, LORDE and Drake for Rolling Stone online interviews, producing and editing emotionally difficult material is not new to Berlow. At the beginning of his career, Berlow worked full-time in the Research & Education Department of Steven Spielberg’s SHOAH Visual History Foundation editing testimonies of Holocaust survivors for documentaries and educational shorts including editing the Foundation’s Award Winning Documentary, Recollections: Eyewitnesses Remember the Holocaust, which won the BAFTA Award for the Best Learning in the Secondary Education Category.

Berlow is also the co-founder and chairman of the VETERANS IN CINEMA FOUNDATION 501(c)3, a non-profit foundation whose mission is to help veterans find employment in the film and entertainment industry.
