When a failing high school student is asked to go to his professor’s office hours, he ends up traveling back in time to experience all the hardships Chicanos endured.
Emilia Pérez Rocha is the writer and director for this project. Ever since petitioning for the Film School program at San Diego State University she has directed numerous shorts, among them “Say Cheese,” “Seamus,” “Rate My Professor,” and “Beaten.” “Los Ayeres de Hoy,” however, is by far one of the most personal one for her yet.
