This panel features Larry Poole, Randy Davison and others  as they compare and contrast the pathways to enter the entertainment industry in San Diego and Los Angeles. The panelists offer insights into the pros and cons of each location and share their personal experiences.


Meet your panelist, Randy Davison

Originally from Idaho, Randy traded potatoes for palm trees and headed to Southern California to work in the movies. After receiving a BA in Theatre Arts from Boise State University, he continued to hone his craft as an actor by completing the actor’s training program with the Atlantic Theatre in association with New York University and The Stella Adler Theatre in Los Angeles. In addition to numerous commercials,
voice-overs, film, and television work, he has appeared in several plays, including the world premiere of “Drop”,
which made its debut at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. and co-starred with “Glee’s” Jayma Mays, in “The Ruling Class”, with The National American Shakespeare Company at The Knightsbridge Theatre in Los Angeles. Recent film work include roles in Lee Daniels’, Golden Globe winning film, “The United
States vs Billie Holiday” and David Fincher’s Oscar winning film, “Mank”. You can catch him starring in the upcoming film “Even a Just Man Falls” alongside “Son’s of Anarchy’s” Glenn Plummer and “Spiderman Across the Spiderverse’s Marabina James.

 

Meet your panelist, Larry Poole

Larry Poole is an actor who has appeared in numerous film and television projects as well as National and international commercials. His work has earned several awards for best actor and best supporting actor. He is currently the President of the SAG-AFTRA San Diego local, representing approximately 1200 industry professionals in San Diego. 


Participants will receive an Award of Completion for each workshop they attend.
2.0 quarter units will be given for those who attend the full week of sessions.
