Get to know the Director, Mohad Adam

Mohab Adam, born in Baghdad, Iraq 1976, embarked on his professional journey in his early twenties. In 1996, he joined the ranks of Baghdad’s first advertising company as a Creative Director. During this time, he also lent his expertise to budding film directors at the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad, crafting scripts for their graduation projects. In 2003, Mohab, owing to the challenging wartime conditions in Iraq, relocated to Cairo, Egypt, where he pursued further education in film directing and scriptwriting. From 2007 to 2009, he was actively involved in the Egyptian television industry, where he lent his skills to writing and editing various advertisements. In 2011, Mohab set his sights on the United States of America to realize his lifelong dream. In 2021, he took a pivotal step by establishing an advertising and film production company, MA Magic Lamp. Under his leadership, the company has created numerous visually captivating advertisements and produced a short film titled “We Want a Homeland” in 2022. This poignant work sheds light on the 2019 protests in Baghdad, Iraq, and the external influences that played a role in the nation’s political landscape. Mohab Adam holds the belief that cinematic art transcends mere entertainment; it carries a profound purpose and a message capable of resonating with the broadest array of audiences, leaving a lasting and meaningful legacy for generations to come.

 

 

Get to know the Director, Rafid Jerjees Butrus

Rafid Jerjees Butrus, is a film/ video director, producer, videographer and video editor. Born in Baghdad Iraq 1978. Rafid started his professional journey with producing video projects for the government before he moved to the United States when he was 35 years old and later studied acting, film production at the Grossmont College in El Cajon. In 2017, he produced the film, The Mirror Effects. In 2022 he produced and directed ” We Want a Homeland to start his professional journey in the film industry.
